Get Unstuck – the key to clearing your head and moving forward with confidence.

You and I both know that there’s something that most people don’t realise about being a leader…

It’s something that people generally expect us to be able to do all the time and sometimes, it’s just not there…

That something is always knowing the answer, always knowing what to do.

Leading a business, or even leading yourself, requires you to step out bravely, often asking people to trust you to lead them into the unknown.  If you want to grow your business, very often that step contains a lot of unknowns for you too, but people are looking to you to lead, to be confident and reassure them that change will be alright.

Now I absolutely believe that it’s good and healthy to be vulnerable as a leader, not having all the answers builds curiosity, which in business terms is a good breeding ground for growth.  In fact in my book, the most dangerous type of leader is one who thinks that they have all the answers, because that means that they’re not alert to issues that might arise.

But in tricky times, in times of change, you need to lead and that means that your vision needs to be clear, even if there are areas of the implementation that aren’t. That’s an area that you can work through with your team.

But they need the clarity of being able to see what the big aim is and that you know how to lead them there, and sometimes you’re not entirely clear yourself.

Sometimes, you just get stuck and you can’t see a way forward, to growth or to just getting yourself out of a tricky situation.

Then you have a void, your head isn’t playing ball and there’s not many people you can talk to.  It’s not clear enough to share with your team, your family don’t understand and it’s too confidential for friends.

That’s where I come in.

I’m at my best when I am helping people to transition, to move forward.  I bring my experience to the table, part coach, part mentor and we chew through the issue until you can see a way forward.
